Anti-Poaching and Ranger Patrols

Sabuli Wildlife Conservancy trains and deploys community rangers—many of them youth and women—who serve as the frontline defenders of wildlife. They work closely with the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and county security teams to prevent illegal hunting and enhance safety across the conservancy.

Using tools like GPS, radios, and plans to adopt drones and digital surveillance, the team patrols vast arid terrain to protect the reticulated Somali giraffe, oryx, and other vulnerable species. These coordinated efforts have reduced poaching incidents and improved community security, proving that when locals lead, conservation succeeds.
