Partnerships and Collaboration

We welcome structured partnerships that strengthen our work in ranger development, water security, and wildlife monitoring. Every partnership helps us build community capacity, improve data collection, and safeguard wildlife and livelihoods across northern Kenya. Together, we can protect endangered species, restore rangelands, and bring lasting impact to Wajir South.

Governance

Sabuli Wildlife Conservancy is community-owned and community-managed, guided by principles of transparency and accountability. We are formally registered as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) under Kenyan law, ensuring that local voices lead every decision.

Our governance structure empowers elders, youth, and women to participate in management and planning. We maintain open communication with members and partners, sharing updates on projects, finances, and progress. This approach ensures that Sabuli remains a trusted, transparent, and inclusive institution for both people and wildlife.

Our Story, Briefly

2012 – Local leaders, elders, and youth come together to stop poaching, promote peace, and protect wildlife in Sabuli Division.
2018 – Sabuli formalizes as a Community-Based Organization, expanding its outreach, ranger network, and wildlife monitoring activities.
2021 – Present – Recurrent droughts and renewed poaching threats drive a stronger focus on water security, patrols, and community engagement across Wajir South and the wider Ewaso ecosystem.

From humble beginnings, Sabuli has grown into a recognized voice for community-led conservation in Kenya’s arid north—a place where people and wildlife can truly thrive together.

  • Back Conservation Technology: Sponsor monitoring kits, GPS cameras, communication tools, and field fuel to enhance patrol efficiency.

  • Empower Youth and Schools: Support conservation clubs in schools and madrassas to nurture the next generation of environmental stewards.

  • Partner With Us: Collaborate on lawful, low-impact eco-experiences and enterprises that keep income within the community while promoting sustainability.

Every act of support—big or small—helps build resilience, protect wildlife, and uplift lives in northern Kenya.
